Sevan Achieves ABC’s Diamond Level in STEP Program

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. (Wednesday, August 2, 2023)—Sevan Multi-Site Solutions, Inc. (Sevan) announced it has achieved Diamond level in the Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).

Sevan, a global leader in innovative program management for clients with multiple sites, received the important recognition via ABC’s world-class safety management system—which helps dramatically improve safety performance by providing a roadmap to measure, strengthen and build industry-leading safety initiatives.

STEP participants measure their safety processes and policies on key components through a detailed questionnaire with the goal of implementing or enhancing health and safety programs that reduce job site incidents.

“At Sevan, we firmly believe that safety is not a choice, but a non-negotiable priority,” said Jim Evans, Founder & CEO at Sevan. “By adopting safety as a core organizational Tenet, Sevan makes a powerful statement about our unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of our team members, clients and business partners.”

Sevan’s commitment to safety is exemplified via meticulous new hire orientations, rigorous field audits and regular safety trainings. Through steadfast dedication to robust safety measures and the active involvement of key leaders, Sevan strives to safeguard the health and safety of its workforce and continually advances the standards of safety excellence.

“Sevan has spared no effort in developing the most comprehensive framework that guarantees a safe work environment for all,” said Chris Carter, Director of Safety at Sevan. “We are proud to set new benchmarks for safety in the industry and look forward to fostering a culture where all team members, clients, business partners and the general public go home safe at the end of each day.”

Since its inception in 2011, safety has been imperative at all levels of the organization. Sevan’s safety program and OSHA 300 log stand as a testament to its safety commitment, reflecting zero accidents with days away from work and time off.

“Establishing stellar safety practices is a journey,” said Greg Sizemore, ABC’s vice president of health, safety, environment and workforce development. “That journey is possible because of systems like STEP, which enables ABC member contractors like Sevan to actively build health and safety into their culture.”

In 2023, Sevan was recognized as an Employee-Rated Great Place to Work® for the 10th consecutive year and ranked No. 36 on Engineering News-Record (ENR)’s Top 50 Program Management Firms, No. 57 on ENR’s Top 100 Construction Management-for-Fee Firms.
