Sevan Graduates Next Class of Leaders

Sevan celebrated the commencement of the 2019 Sevan Leadership (“The 8^th Habit”) Class with 23 graduates, the largest class to date.

The Leadership course is a study action team that references “The 8^th Habit” by Stephen R. Covey. The program focuses on embedding fundamental principles of leadership and how to incorporate them in your work as a leader within the organization. An important aspect of the program is helping students find their voices and through their own leadership, the students have the tools to help others at Sevan find their voices.

With regular meetings throughout the year, each class is structured around a different chapter in “The 8^th Habit.” Leaders from Sevan lead the effort by presenting and teaching lessons within the first several chapters. Students were also given the opportunity to teach to the class.

At the end of the course and on graduation day, students had a final assignment they had to share with the entire class and Sevan’s leadership team.

The class also broke out into teams to brainstorm and report their results. Graduates from the program received a plaque to highlight the work done throughout the year.

Sevan is honored to have ambitious team members who are committed to continually improving themselves as leaders.
