Downers Grove, IL (March 22, 2021)—Sevan Multi-Site Solutions, Inc. (Sevan)—a global leader in innovative design, program management, construction services and data analytics—partnered with a national pharmacy provider to create COVID-19 testing centers in 49 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. These centers have reached a milestone in administering 1 million COVID-19 tests. The goal of this urgent project has been to aid healthcare workers in the fight against the pandemic across the nation.

Sevan has worked with this Fortune 500 pharmacy retailer since March 2020 to repurpose space at more than 835 retail locations to implement operational testing and laboratory centers. Some stores have large-scale drive-through testing centers with mobile office structures, tents, traffic control, signage and many precautionary measures. Other testing centers consist of converted pharmacy stockrooms made into medical testing centers with a smaller footprint. With their reach now expanded, they can provide rapid test results to individuals across the country with the hope of stopping the spread of COVID-19.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside frontline workers and aid them in providing solutions for our country during these past several months,” said Jim Evans, President and CEO of Sevan. “We are very grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to the nation’s well-being, health and safety.”

Sevan and the Fortune 500 pharmacy retailer work closely to build and transform the testing centers, which take up to two weeks to complete. It takes several Sevan team members per location to stand-up the centers, which have been set up in hot zone areas to serve larger groups of patients.

“We’ve had the opportunity to be on the frontline to fight COVID-19 and support individuals impacted by this disease,” Bradd Weddell, Vice President of Operations at Sevan, said. “This is a responsibility that we do not take lightly, and it has been a privilege to be a small part of the COVID-19 solution.”

Sevan has also helped deploy mobile pharmacies for COVID-19 patients. The 308-square-foot mobile pharmacies include workspaces, shelving, medication and refrigeration.

In September 2017, this Fortune 500 pharmacy retailer tasked Sevan with creating and deploying mobile emergency pharmacies after Hurricane Maria made landfall in Puerto Rico. These pharmacies were delivered in less than 27 days. The retailer continues to implement the pharmacies in areas with immense need as disaster relief aid.

Founded in 2011, Sevan helps clients develop, refresh and update their portfolio of sites. Large public competitors are not typically focused on the multi-site market, and smaller companies are often unable to compete with Sevan’s breadth and quality of services.

In 2020, Sevan was recognized as an Employee-Rated Great Place to Work® for the seventh consecutive year and ranked No. 124 on the Financial Times FT 1000 list of America’s Fastest-Growing Companies.
