About Vail, Arizona<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/strong>Vail, Arizona, is a small unincorporated desert town located southeast of Tucson. With a population of roughly 10,000 citizens, there is little sign of retail or industrial services. Vail is also home to the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. For years, the town\u2019s want and need for retail life was critical; it was in the works for 10 years. After hearing the news, Sevan and Pima County teamed up to provide its citizens with a much needed economic boost for the town.<\/p>\n

In June 2017, Sevan broke ground on Safeway\u2019s ground-up full-service grocery store. The 60,000-sq. ft. layout included Starbucks and an in-house pharmacy, along with full-service deli, bakery, and floral departments. The project also included a fuel center with a 700-sq. ft. C-store equipped to provide customers with one-stop needs. \u201cThe county of Pima was very helpful throughout the project,\u201d said Sevan Project Executive Bill Homrighausen. \u201cThey made our job, as Sevan employees, seamless and enjoyable.\u201d<\/p>\n

The duration of the project took less than a year to complete. With extra cooperation from Pima County, Sevan completed the work on schedule. Safeway held its Grand Opening Day on April 4, 2018. \u201cMany of Vail\u2019s citizens came out to support its new opportunity,\u201d said Homrighausen. The location of the new Safeway will now be the center of town where new opportunities can grow and help spark life in the small town of Vail.<\/p>\n
