Sevan is celebrating another milestone\u2014the company reached 500 team members in November. And this one came up pretty quickly.<\/p>\n
Seven years ago, the company started in Downers Grove, Illinois with five ambitious leaders. Their motivation and drive immediately became the roots of a rapidly growing company. The leaders had a vision: to be the best in the world at delivering innovative design, program management and construction services to companies with multiple sites. That vision is fueled by having the right team members in place to succeed.<\/p>\n
Today, Sevan\u2019s company footprint spans across 41 states and an additional new team just joined in London, where an office will open on January 2, 2019.<\/p>\n
Sevan also had its largest group attend the company\u2019s New Hire Orientation, a three-day team meeting that consisted of company leaders sharing stories, useful information, plans and goals. More than 30 people attended the orientation, and this was the largest group to date.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast year, my prediction was that Sevan would hit 400 team members by the end of 2018,\u201d Chris Galazka, Vice President of People Solutions, said. \u201cWell, we hit 400 in May and we hit 500 before the end of the year. I think it\u2019s remarkable. It comes with all the hard work everyone is doing out there to support our clients.\u201d<\/p>\n
Early on, President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Evans knew the company would need a strong team of leaders to deliver excellent results.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt feels great to have so many wonderful people on our team, and our start in 2011 seems like just yesterday,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
With Sevan\u2019s increased number of clients and project scopes, one of the company\u2019s priorities is hiring top talent.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur greatest aspiration when we started the business was to inspire a great company culture, where people truly enjoyed themselves,\u201d Evans said.\u00a0\u201cEarning a spot on the Fortune 100 List of Best Medium Workplaces in 2018 was a great honor for our team.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Sevan\u2019s seven-year anniversary, the company took all team members on a cruise for a company meeting and some fun.<\/p>\n
\u201cSoon we will need 700 folks to deliver our growing workload and a bigger cruise ship for our next team meeting!\u201d Jim said enthusiastically. \u201cLet\u2019s buckle our seatbelts; we are just getting started!\u201d<\/p>\n
